TEMPTING FATE (BOOK 9)

What a lovely story. Another Blake man loses his heart. This story is a little different. Changing is the baby of the Blake men. Lately he has been feeling like he is missing out on something. An old hook up comes back to town thinking that maybe they are meant to be, but Channing isn't having it. His heart remembers a fellow law student and when the opportunity arises that he may see her at an engagement party of mutual friends, he acts on their meeting. Cassidy cannot believe she still have feelings for a man who seems to have a girlfriend. Little does she know, but Channing is about to pull out all the stops for her.

Love it and it was worth the wait.

This was a very touching and sweet story. Channing and Cassidy are perfectly made for each other. I love the whole Blake Boys series and I can't wait for the next installment to come out. I love how this book is about family and compassion, it was great catching up on all of the family. I here John jacob and Teri Lynn's story is coming out soon and I hope Bo and Charisma's comes out as well. This is a well written and heart warming story.

Tempting Fate, Hope and Tears.............
Ok, So I Just Finished Reading Channing and Cassidy's Story and My Mind is Reeling and My Heart Is Heavy. Why Do I Get The Feeling That Cassidy Will Be The One To Break The Blake's Super Genetic Gene Pool and Give Channing A Girl But Won't Live Long Enough Too See Her Grow Up. I Was Blown Away By This Story Line But I Guess Every Good Series Needs A Curve Ball To Mix Things Up A Bit And This Delivered. Although When It Was Revealed Why Cassidy Disappeared For One Year I Cried, Literally! I Just Hope That As These Characters Are Brought To Life On Paper We Get To Experience More Happy Times than Sad. I ABSOLUTELY Love Rhonda Laurel and Her Creative Abilities To Give Us Ten Books And Counting With Such Complex Characters And The Best Is Yet To Come. I'm Counting Down To The Continuing Story Of Channing And Cassidy. Mrs. or Ms. Laurel May The Writing GODS Keep Cassidy Alive For A Looooong Time. THANK YOU RHONDA LAUREL

Excellent illustrations and writing as always. If there was really only one complaint I could make it's that I wish there was more of an author's note at the end since I really look forward to those and this time while there was one it was rather short and boring. Keep up the great work and I hope that volume 3 comes out soon.

Invaluable for new engineers

I graduated from mechanical engineering school about a year ago and got a job shortly after. If it's one thing I've learned, it's how grossly unprepared school made me for designing manufacturable parts and explaining manufacturing techniques in any sort of detail. Thankfully, this book fills the gap nicely.

I'd consider this book an encyclopedia of virtually every kind of manufacturing technique out there. And the author explains things quite eloquently, in a concise and consistent manner. Thousands of diagrams and full-color photographs aid the explanations. Quick, at-a-glance facts about the different techniques tell you their costs and suitability for various situations. Perhaps most importantly, tons of case studies are scattered throughout which put real-world examples to the topics.

I was a little skeptical after reading other reviews mentioning this book is only good for furniture design. That's not true. While certain manufacturing techniques are covered that may be mostly suitable for furniture design versus other, engineered parts, this book covers manufacturing techniques for engineers like casting, forming, and molding.

To be honest I'm surprised such a high-quality book sells for only $50, considering I've easily paid twice that for books in college that weren't nearly as informative or helpful. I'm just sad I didn't find and buy this book months ago when I was struggling to research this information online (and trust me I never found a web site or web sites that compare to this book).

the best so far

As an industrial designer and a professor of ID at a Furniture Design college, I am very pleased with this book. It is probably the best book of its kind, so far, covering most processes and describing them in the most excellent manner (with nice diagrams, case studies etc). I would love to see bigger pictures in the next edition. This can be used as a great reference textbook! A big "thank you" to Rob Thomson and the publishers!

Valuable resource for designers

This is a phenomenal resource. I bought this book as a required text for a materials and processes class and it is likely the best textbook I own. Easy, color-coded reference, full-color glossy images, and up-to date (for 2008) processes. Not only does it give easily understandable descriptions of the actual manufacturing processes, but it goes on to give typical applications, related processes, quality considerations, design opportunities and considerations, compatible materials, costs, and environmental impacts for every material and process in the book! It also gives case studies of actual products that exemplify many of the products covered. This is a comprehensive resource that I'll own and use for a long time.

About the Author
Philip Wilkinson was educated at Oxford University, after which he worked as an editor for various publishers in Britain. For the last 15 years or so, he has been a full-time writer specializing in history, the arts, and heritage. He has written books on these subjects for adults and for children, and his titles include What the Romans Did For Us, which accompanied the BBC television series presented by Adam Hart-Davis, the award-winning Amazing Buildings, and The English Buildings Book. He lives in the Cotswolds with his wife and son.

Excellent start for anyone who may be interested in starting to try to understand the Monarchy in the U.K. Giving overviews of each ruler along with the "side notes" reminders is a great way to learn about the ideas and the time frame of what life was like durning each ruler.
You don't have to sit through 400 pages about each ruler or have to disect each King or Queen's greatest battles to understand who they were.

Dummies finally have hit every area with their books. I'm glad someone thought to include the British Monarchy .

Fabulous for those who love to read about British Monarchy/History but get confused or forget after awhile, who came from who/where/when! Great to read through then go back for a quick reference when needed. LOTS of info and fun facts!

I enjoy this book very much. It is a fast read and great for reference material. It has lots of tidbits that you don't usually pick-up in other books. Great book for Dummies or people that are interested in English history and day-to-day facts on the English castle dwellers.
