In Cameron's uninspired sixth Jericho Quinn novel (after 2015's Day Zero), "warmongering moles" President Hartman Drake and Vice President Lee McKeon have entered the White House after both their predecessors were assassinated. Now, "very day another politician, reporter, or military officer who opposed the new administration in even the most trivial matters found themselves harassed or taken into custody" by Drake and McKeon's Internal Defense Task Force. Quinn, an agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, is among those on the run from the IDTF; he's allied with a number of former senior officials, including the CIA director and the secretary of state, aiming to topple the Drake-McKeon regime. Meanwhile, a dangerous new kind of thermobaric bomb that the Chinese have been developing has been stolen. The conceit—that the two people at the top of the executive branch are connected with terrorists—will strain credulity, and Cameron doesn't compensate with either clever plotting or full-blooded characters. About the Author
A native of Texas, Marc Cameron has spent over twenty-five years in law enforcement. His assignments have taken him from rural Alaska to Manhattan, from Canada to Mexico and points in between. A second degree black belt in jujitsu, he often teaches defensive tactics to other law enforcement agencies and civilian groups. Cameron presently lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and BMW motorcycle.

Tactical training - shoot, move, and communicate

I read this book twice. First time, I had hoped to discover more about Central Asia and China. That content includes the sport of horsemen fighting over a goat body, which can be seen on YouTube as well. The second time, I tried to follow the story line which included many people on many parts of the earth, all wanting (pro) or fighting against (con) a war between China and the USA. Most episodes included brutal violence by men and women, thus the name of the book Brute Force. So much violence works against a world at peace.

All six books at once-what a ride!

Definitely a first, I read all six books back to back after reading the first of this series. Unable to put them down and barely able to breathe from the suspense many times, it will be good to relax waiting for Cameron's next novel. Not since Robert Ludlum and Vince Flynn have I been so completely captivated by the characters and plot of these stories. Anyone loving spies and espionage will love these novels. But don't think about getting much else done once you begin reading! I highly recommend reading these books in order since the sinister plot begins with the first and resolves in Brute Force.

Jericho does the impossible......again!

The evil Feng brothers are trying to cause a war with China, wreaking havoc everywhere they go. BIG UNCLE thinks he us smarter and .ore powerful than the players I this spy war, but Ran and her daughter Song prove otherwise. Jericho is teamed up with Song but his girlfriend Garcia is being tortured in a secret Locatin. Can Jericho save the women from certain death? It isn't easy to say the least. A page turner. Also clean language a. BIG plus!
